GAZA
In 1947 the United Nations approved the partition of Palestine into two states - one Jewish and one Arab. The 60 years since have been marked by near-constant conflict. The Israeli-Palestinian struggle is perhaps the most pressing concern confronting the modern world – the source of incalculable suffering not only to those living in the beleaguered region, but of global consequences from the Twin Towers to the Far East. If we do not solve this seemingly intractable problem then we will be handing a time bomb to future generations.
Karin Muller will travel to Gaza for three months in 2011.
